The similarity between Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Ghajini

Plain Janes and Simple Simons getting hip and happening are a popular leitmotif in films.
When a staid-looking, simpleton Surinder Sahni (Shah Rukh Khan) working for Punjab Power, meets the flamboyant, vivacious Taani (Anushka Sharma), his world goes topsy turvy. He chucks his black-rimmed glasses and gets his greased hair highlighted. He exchanges his stuffy woollen vests for funky jackets and snazzy jeans. He changes his look, clothes and attitude to woo his lady-love. What effect Shah Rukh's make-over in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has on the box-office remains to be seen on December 12 when the film releases. But makeovers have been a popular leitmotif in films.
Not surprising then that if Aamir Khan also sports two diametrically-opposite looks for his upcoming release Ghajini - initially he is the long-tressed romantic and then for the avenging avtaar he goes mean and bald and all full of tattooes.
